Luke graduated in 2017 with his Master’s Degree in Special Education, from University of Nevada Las Vegas. He began teaching in Hawaii in 2012 after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. He is a licensed Elementary and special education teacher in Nevada. Currently, he works for the school district student services division to train staff who work with students with Autism and nonviolent crisis prevention. His experience includes presenting and training staff on functional communication, social skills instruction, discrete trial teaching, and behavior management. In addition to training, he provides classroom consultation with special education teachers to address specific needs on individual and class-wide levels. He is working towards earning his Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification and works as an ABA consultant providing training and oversight for MHS bBehavior interventionist staff.
