No, If you are not currently pursuing credentialing in Nevada, it is advisable to contact the Health and Human Services Division of Health Care Financing and Policy of your state to verify the applicability of this training.
Who can become a QMHA and QBA?
QMHA – In the state of Nevada, individuals seeking to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a human services field, which may include social work, counseling, psychology, or a related behavioral science. Alternatively, candidates may hold an associate’s degree, provided they also have a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in delivering direct services to individuals diagnosed with mental health disorders.
QBA – To become a Qualified Behavioral Aide (QBA) in Nevada, you must fulfill specific requirements, complete a training program, pass a background check, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Upon completing the training am I now ready to provide services to clients?
